I'm ready to start letting them chose their topics and am hoping that gets them even more motivated to write. One way I'd like to transition to their own topics is highlight different kinds of posts. For example: top ten things to know about..., how to..., recipe, advice column...) I'm thinking a choice board and they would have to determine which style of post would best fit what they are trying to share. I guess that would even bump up their thinking more. :)
