I love blogging! It's a great way to practice digital citizenship in a safe environment, especially with younger students. They get to practice social media skills, and if they mess up (like posting a rude comment), I can delete it and talk to them about it. It's also a more fun, low-key way to encourage writing. I also learn a lot about my students! If I had fewer students, I would probably also have a "fun chat" blog where they could post random stuff and share that way. We do that sometimes, but I try to have them post only to the topic (except on Friday).
