In my classroom, we blog for bellwork. As soon as students come in, they log into Seesaw and start writing. I give them a topic to write about each week, and they are usually pretty fun topics. For example, our topic this week is, "Would you rather lose wifi for one year OR give up social media forever? Why?" They write for 10 minutes on Mon/Tues and 5-8 minutes on Wed/Thurs. I have them every other Friday, which is a free write day...they can continue working on a post or write a new post on a topic of their choice. The bare minimum is 10 sentences, but I encourage them to write more.
