Creative Writing

I think that blogging would e a fun way for them to do their creative writing! They could have feedback from not only me, but their family and peers as well which helps keep them accountable as well!

Science Class Blogging

I plan to have students use blogging to document their progress and research results as they learn about forces and motion.  They will also photos to document the scientific method when they build roller coasters and catapults to test force and motion.

PE Blogging

I think I could use blogging for our fitness days in the weight room.  Students could use this time to reflect on their workouts, and post pictures.  This would also be a good time for them to demonstrate their knowledge on muscle groups and what exercises work what muscles.

Student Blogging

My students are academically advanced in many areas, but expository writing is a consistent area of (relative) weakness. In the past I have had my students write in a paper notebook in response to different prompts. Some prompts are related to the topics we are learning about, others are things that might be unusual or interesting to write about. They typically have a prompt to write about first thing when they come into my classroom each week.

Blogging to Deepen Reading Comprehension

With only a few weeks left in the school year, I want to use blogging via Seesaw to deepen my students' reading comprehension during our reading groups. At this point in the year my higher reading groups are reading their first novels and blogging gives us the opportunity to continue our discussions from the teacher table out into the classroom during an iPad center.

Eventually, next year, I would like to try having my 1st graders blog (or video blog) about math and the different strategies they use.

Blogging

I would love to use Blogging with our read alouds. Students would have to chance to answer questions and respond to each other digitally.

Next year:
I would love to start the blog at the beginning of the year. We could discuss weekly topics that are connect with current events in our country and the world. Also, we could blog about a Science project and keep track of the progress through a blog.

I've had students blog for a few years

I think the best thing about student blogging is that students take their writing so much more seriously than they do when they just hand it into me. They have a real audience, because teachers and test makers don't count when you're under 12. I really like them to write about what ever they want. they are much more creative than I could ever be when they chose a topic they want to do.

Blogging Journal

I think it would be great for the students to blog once a week about the novel we are reading. The journal write could be something new each week or something of their choosing. It will be a fun way for them to share their ideas about the reading.

Homeroom

I plan on using blogging on an up coming project where students make inferences and compare data sets. I also think that a blog would be useful during morning homeroom. In the past, I created discussion posts in Canvas for students to read about math concepts and talk about daily struggles. The students enjoyed creating the posts and we were able to review them as a class during the end of the day homeroom.

How to Use Blogging

i think that encouraging blogging during homeroom would be a great use of the first twenty minutes of school. I could add the option along with ALEKS, iStation, and missing work.

Blogging

I like to use Kid Blog to post student work to share with those outside our classroom. Now I use the classroom blog feature in Seesaw.

A Class Blog

I like to use a class blog to showoff student work. Once a student completes a piece they submit it and we can opt to put in on the class blog.
