Watching the Learning Narrative Video and the Learning Progressions video really helps with planning the unit by knowing what the goals for the students are for the whole unit. It gives you an insight of how the students will achieve the goals and which strategies could be used throughout the unit. It tells you the skills the students begin with mastering and what they are working toward achieving by the end of the unit. I like that the videos give concrete examples and tell what skills the students SHOULD have coming to each grade level, as well as what they will be expected to do in the next grade level. These videos are great for setting purpose for both the unit as a whole and for each lesson.
