ChatGPT is a free AI chat bot that can not only answer questions like a search engine, but it can provide intelligent responses to various prompts. It can write essays, give suggestions, and answer more personal questions. It can provide solutions, complete homework assignments, and answer questions using information that has existed on the internet. I have some concerns that students will rely too heavily on easily-accessible information and lose out on opportunities to develop critical thinking skills and work ethic. I worry that students will become "lazy" (for lack of a better word) and fail to fact-check information. I look forward to learning how to use AI as a tool to get ideas for lessons, organize information, and maybe even differentiate information for students with varying abilities.
