It can be used in many ways, from helping create emails, documents, resumes, etc., in a variety of ways - professional, casual, and from the pov of the writer. It can develop plans for building structures, paying off a debt, and developing exercise programs. As an educator, it can provide an extraordinary amount of assistance from lesson planning, seating arrangements, and can even create useful written materials in the voice of a second grader to use as model text. The possibilities seem endless. It is an amazing TOOL to be used as a RESOURCE. The college essay is not dead and neither is English class in high school. ChatGPT is a vast RESOURCE for all students to find, learn, and report information on any topic. Misuse of ChatGPT is undoubtedly going to be a challenge for educators. As students are learning to use these kinds of AI tools, they must also be learning ethics, paraphrasing, using many resources, and how to be citing their resources. In addition, there are also tools for educators to use that can help validate the authenticity of the student's work.
