.Where is AI being used around the house and work?

AI is being used with self driving cars, siri & alexa, google translate, snapchat filters, etc.  Generative AI can be like your own personal teaching assistant where you can access lots of information in just seconds. I had never thought about generative AI as a personal teaching assistant, but it makes total sense and changed my mindset on how it can be used.

Describe an example of when you used/witnessed someone else use AI?  (Alexa, Siri, etc)At home,

I use Alexa all the time to play music, tell  the weather, tell the score of a sports game, set timers, etc., This is just like  the things you could need to do in the classroom.  I’ve used Chat GPT to write progress report comments and compose emails to parents about concerns or recommendations. Students can also ask Alexa or Siri for specific word choice for writing or even math problems to see if they would need to refine any of their language. The revision series in the video showed great ways to be more specific and refining or fine tuning the search for information especially in the classroom for assignments. You can really cater the assignment to differentiate student learning

How, if at all, has this impacted your life?Using

AI has made our lives a little simpler in so many ways.  For example when I’m driving I can ask SIRI to call or text my family, find directions, and play my music through Apple Play.   Again, I see a connection with AI and teaching.  We can use it to ask create tasks and then revise what is given to us- which is again a huge time saver, just like a real teaching assistant.
