- Where is AI being used around the house and work?
AI is being used increasingly around the house and at work. Most commonly, I see ads and commercials for different products such as google home which allow you to control different things inside your him just by stating what you would like to happen! I think in the educational setting, it is good to familiarize ourselves with AI because this isn't something that's going to go away, it is going to impact how we do work in our field! It is possible to use now to obtain insight into ideas about how to teach different lessons in creative ways.
- Describe an example of when you used/witnessed someone else use AI? (Alexa, Siri, etc)
I have seen people use AI an increasing amount. My mother for example, has begun using AI and Siri when in her car to send text messages, play different songs, and navigate her to different places. For her, this is much much safer than the alternative of picking up and using her phone while she is driving!
- How, if at all, has this impacted your life?
I think AI has the potential to make our lives easier. Like I mentioned earlier about navigation, we can simply as our phones to take us somewhere and they will, we don't need a nap anymore. AI is a good way to look up recipes for items you already have in your kitchen as well. At this time, I use AI for more leisurely reasons, however I can see it impacting my life in education as well.
