I implemented Fundamentals of Paraphrasing with a group of 8th grade students Fall 2025. I learned to adapt lessons to meet the instructional needs of students and we completed Paraphrasing in entirety.
I implemented the Fundamentals in Sentence Writing Strategy during the 2024-25 and 2025-2026 school year. I began mid-year of spring 2025 and got through Lesson 5 or Lesson 6. Files were left in a classroom and inadvertently lost.
I started October 8, 2026 with Fundamental in Sentence Writing again with a group of 4 students. I worked weekly a special education self-contained classroom. Students progressed to Lesson 10: Helping Verbs and Complete Verbs.
In February 2026, I started using Proficiency in Sentence Writing. We finished May 2026. With this strategy, I had to use significant prompting. Although we persevered, compound sentences with coordinating conjunctions seemed to be very difficult for some of the students.
