SIM professional development was offered on April 3 & 4 by both Patty Kohler and Renee Calhoon on the UCA campus. During this 2-day training, our group of Arkansas Literacy Specialists was provided explicit instruction on how to utilize the Vocabulary LINCing Routine to assist students in acquiring the meaning of complex terms. This routine will be used in tier one instruction with all students to support vocabulary knowledge.
