This strategy was modeled for us at the VDOE training. It is a visual device that uses a graphic organizer, the LINCS Table, to assist students with understanding and recall of important terms. I would use this with either Tier 2 or Tier 3 vocabulary in my classroom. The students have to analyze the term to find a reminding word, LINCing story, a LINCing picture, and a definition. I feel initially that this should be introduced by scaffolding the steps while teacher modeling. At this point I feel that I would benefit from some "hands on" support from Judith. She said she was more than willing to come and work with one of our classes. I plan to email her after I submit this reflection.
