The LINCing routine was implemented in a grade 8 Physical Science co-taught classroom. Class size is 20 students, 11 boys and 9 girls. SPED students have categories of SLD, ED, and OHI and are comprised of 5 boys and 2 girls. Additionally, there is a male student who has a 504 plan and a female ESL non-English speaking student. On the first day of implementation, 7 additional SPED students were in the classroom. The initial teaching of the routine was implemented during a 50 minute bell. The LINCing routine was additionally reinforced later that day during an Academic Support bell with only the SPED students. Our subject area has weekly vocabulary for the most part and we have incorporated at least 2-3 examples on a weekly basis that the students have provided us to use.
