I used the LINCS table as
part of my small group literacy stations. There were around 20 students in the
collaborative classroom (3 students with an IEP). For the first week we
complete the table as a group during whole group instruction. The students
would then complete the table independently during their vocabulary station. We
used our weekly vocabulary words for the table. We have 8 words each week in
total. I divided the words and the students would complete 4 at a time.
Initially the students would need a little extra time to complete the table.
After they had mastered the concept they would work on the table for about 20
minutes. The students would keep the table in their vocabulary folder and have
as a study guide for their weekly vocabulary test. I began the process in
October of this current school year and am still currently implementing the
table in my instruction.
