I attended the Framing Routine training during the summer co-teaching institute in Richmond. The framing procedure will be a valuable tool to use in the classroom across all subject areas. This strategy helps to break down complex or abstract ideas into manageable parts. It gives the learner a clear visual of the materials being taught and helps them to organize important ideas. This routine can be differentiated to meet the needs of all students and can be used for all subjects. The flexibility of this routine is amazing. I particularly like all the different formats that can be found at the back of the book. There are also additional activities that use this routine, my favorite being the "Gotcha" game.  I have only used this strategy for history and reading lessons, but I plan on implementing it across all curriculum.
