Digital badging is a type of "micro-credential" that provides the learner with a customized and flexible way to become proficient in a specific set of skills. Digital badging allows the learner to complete the lesson at a time and place that is convenient to them and also requires that evidence be submitted (typically an image, text, or link). The learner then receives feedback on their evidence and is awarded the digital badge if everything is complete and accurate. Digital badging is NOT intended to cover large amounts of material and the hours awarded are not always exactly equivalent to seat time.
