Digital Badging is a micro-credential created in house, and is a type of professional learning that is an alternative to in-person events. It is an online resource that provides a way to teach skills to all staff members and is customizable.
Digital Badges are awarded by creators based on your work submissions. This work can be submitted as both visual and written evidence, in response to requirements for that class. You must submit work, completing all criteria, then request for you work to be reviewed. After you receive feedback, you may have to either make adjustments as needed, or download the certificate awarded. Once downloaded, you must add the certificate file into Frontline in order for your work to be marked complete. The benefits to using Digital Badges are that they are entirely asynchronous and allow you to spend as much time as you need in order to feel confident in the material covered.
