How will your newfound ability to create and manage your Google Classroom online learning space impact your teaching? Consider how these skills align with your teaching goals

There are a few new tips that I picked up on during this training. I have been using Google Classroom ever since the year the schools shut down due to Covid. It has enhanced my instruction in so many ways. This training was a great refresher on some of the basics that I sometimes forget by the beginning of the next school year. It will be a great resource to look back on when setting up my class next year. Most of what I am using Google Classroom for now is to make my lessons engaging and to provide reinforcement and enrichment. In this training I was reminded of the gradebook tool. I know a lot of teachers liked using the gradebook during Covid. I do check over students' work on Google Classroom and synching this to a gradebook would give me a better way to track students' success and areas they need to improve upon. The other tip I picked up on was hiding the class code once all students have joined the classroom. I wasn't aware that it is a good practice. In fact, I did not even know that was an option. That is something that I will do right away in my current Google Classrooms as well as classrooms I create in the future.
