Not only learning to self-regulate when our emotions get big but also being able to make good choices and decisions.

I use mindful breathing to help with self-regulating but also modeling behaviors and educating my students with lots of picture books on kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, and managing our feelings. With such young kids, I think it is so important to help them understand what self-management looks like.
