One aspect that stood out to me in relationship skills is relationship building. I usually start off my class by checking in with my students; how classes are going, anything exciting happening outside of school, extracurricular activities, etc. I also try to incorporate their interests into classroom activities and discussions. Not only am I building relationships this way but also fostering engagement.
