Responsible decision-making relates to being able to think ahead to consequences for behavior. I am constantly asking my students to “make the right choice”. I frequently use decision-making in my conversations about behavior. Generally speaking, my students know the basics of right and wrong. They need to be reminded that we need to strive for making the right choices (even when no one is watching). The right choice means doing what feels right to you, but also thinking of how your choice impacts others.
