Relationship skills… the ability to form and maintain healthy, positive relationships with others and to be able to work successfully with a wide range of others in individual and group situations.
In class: One of the goals of the world languages classroom is to “develop cultural competencies” – it’s part of our standards! I take this as an opportunity to explore the cultures of others globally but also, on a smaller scale, within the classroom. One example of this is our Star Student interview where, for one day (~15 minutes total), one student is the center of attention and we learn information about that student and their life (family, pets, birthday, etc).
