According to FracFocus Chemical Disclosure Registry, a historic perspective of hydraulic fracturing has a trend of a routine technology that is regularly used in the completion of gas wells, called unconventional production, or known as tight shale reservoirs. This process of unconventional production has been used on millions of producing wells and the application of hydraulic fracturing continues to improve that allow 35,000 types of wells that range from horizontal and vertical and natural gas and oil that are fractured each year. This application has a huge impact on America’s energy for the ability to extract natural gas and oil from wells that are valuable for the United States domestic energy production and without this application of hydraulic fracturing, 80 percent of unconventional production would be impossible.
