Since obesity was one of the main health risks in our chapter 17 this past week and since it is so prevalent to our day to day lives, I thought it would be a good idea to research some health risks that occur with obesity. This article states that obesity is one of the most important preventable diseases in most developed countries. Which I TOTALLY agree with! Obesity is becoming more and more common all around the world. In this case, not signifying a good place in society for the most part. There are two tables that are shown in this article the first showing classifications of Obesity using the BMI - Body Mass Index of the average person. The second table goes into more detail showing the actual health risks of obesity . Categories ranging from medical, surgical, Gynecological/Obstetric, Social and Psychological. This article really helped me get an outlook on what are the major effects that occur if one ends up becoming obese.
