In the article by Daniel Brock, published by SMU.edu, the author analyzes both sides to the ethical dilemma that is hydraulic fracturing. He starts off by saying what exactly hydraulic fracturing does to extract oil from the environment. Then he begins to talk about the political, moral, and environmental debates on this issue. Throughout the article Brock does a great job at staying unbiased and states both sides of the debate. However, the information that he provides shows that, while hydraulic fracturing is currently the most successful and inexpensive way to keep up with the world's oil needs, it is not environmentally friendly.
