In this article we learn about the water cycle and the changes in the global mean seal level. The article first starts off by talking about the water cycle itself and how how cycle describes the process of water as water molecules making their way through the Earth and into the atmosphere. We also learn about the different steps of the cycle; evaporation, transportation, and sublimation, and emission. One of the cool things I liked was the amount of water we have in our atmosphere is about 12,900 cubic kilometers.
When it comes to the oceans, not only are they being filled constantly but by huge amounts. The seas have shown that over the past few years they have been replenished with great amounts of water, and there is a huge increase in the past 100 years. When it comes to sea level they have increased because of the oceans warming which causes the water to expand and increase at levels. One of the main increases is the fact that the snow caps and land ice has been melting causing the water levels to rise. (NASA)
