I think that I would definitely want to use the Google Expeditions application in my classroom. This application would allow me to take my students on almost any virtual reality field trip I could possibly want to take them on. I think that it is such an amazing way for students to see things that they may never get to see in person. Whenever we learn something new in the classroom, I can look on Google Expeditions to find the perfect journey for them to go on so that they can see and learn more about the topic in a different way. One of the pros is that on each expedition there are detailed descriptions of everything so that I could read them specific facts and details while they go on their journey! There are also questions that the leader can ask the followers! Being able to provide detailed information and ask questions proves that this application is beneficial for students because they are demonstrating the knowledge that they learn from the experiences. In relation to Bloom’s Taxonomy, Google Expeditions allows students to evaluate expeditions, analyze their different field trips, understand new ideas by being able to visually see them, and remember facts given by the leader of the expedition. I think that this is also one of the best virtual reality applications because there are beginning, intermediate and advanced questions that teachers can ask depending on the level the students are at. This application can definitely be used for a lot of different age groups. It is also a pro that you can take your followers to a specific place that you want to show them and it will point to where it is. A con is that students cannot be explorers and choose an individual expedition. You also have to be on the same Wi-Fi as the leader in order to go on the expedition.
