My favorite would be the Phishing information as I feel these have most certainly made me more vigilant.  At times I will look too much into things that aren't Phishing emails, yet there was one that came through from MSD and I was determined it just wasn't right.  I called the person at MSD to see if it was for real and she said "NO, it is a Phish, delete it".  How cool was that?  Not that someone tried to Phish, but that I didn't just go into the email and start clicking on links because it DID look legit!

IoT

I found the IoT article most interesting.  While I usually am hesitant to use any IoT devices, I am usually concerned about the difficulty or impossibility of updating the drivers and the persistent threats this might allow to get onto my network.  The article looks at it from a data loss perspective, and I hadn't given a lot of thought to how much information could be leaked by smart devices in my home.

Phishing

This one is important because phishing is a way to trick people into giving their account and personal information. It's crucial for us at work, but it's also personally a concern because my mom, who is 89, uses a computer. I use tips I learn at work to educate her on being safe with her online communication.

Antivirus Updates

With so many attempts to upload viruses to computers and smart devices, it's always recommended that antivirus software be regularly updated and the latest definitions downloaded and installed. The many various types of virus attacks can create vulnerabilities to a secure server system and provide access to unwanted hackers to capture user info and passwords. The best advice I've heard is to never share login credentials with anyone even help desk personnel. They have access to fix issues without having personal info or login credentials through their security software.
