Something that I learned about ELLs in this presentation is that not every student who has another language on their english survey is an EL. It depends on their proficiency. My biggest take away was that all teachers, no matter the subject they teach can provide opportunities to EL students to practice new vocabulary and language structures. The still need to develop their communication.
