I had never heard of COPPA, the Children's online privacy protection that helps protect against the data collection of children under the age of 13. I also never knew that the OPT out selection was mandatory for students under the PPRA. I am glad to know that if I am unsure of an app, I can contact the IT person at our school for guidance, rather than incur that risk on myself.
