Whether or not I use Flipgrid in my future classroom, I like Erwin's ideas about combining the best features of different apps to optimize their effectiveness for teaching and learning. I particularly like the idea of having student record or explain their processes over a visual, like a project or other type of finished project, so that they can explain their thoughts. When this is in a video format, that video can then be edited and perfected by the student so that the teacher can give the best and most helpful feedback they can. I also think this is a good option for helping students who have a lot of anxiety around speaking and presenting. Having all or part of presentation prerecorded takes the pressure off and allows everyone to focus on the concepts involved.
