I actually liked seeing the conference's way of fixing someone's absence during their presentation. When the webinar was supposed to begin, they already had someone on to talk and explain what was going on and their backup plan for the presentation.
We didn't create anything for this webinar, but we did place a star on a world map to show where everyone in the chat was from. It was really neat to see stars popping up all across the map.
I enjoyed hearing about this blog challenge, and I think it could be something that every grade and subject area could find useful. It is a great way to get students involved in digital citizenship, and it goes over a lot of what we talk about in our technology class. I know many kids would like getting on and feeling like they are contributing to an important blog.
