Since I am a Social Studies major, I probably will not be using the physics based project in my classroom. The second project that we worked on, I could possibly find a way to use. The theme of that project was that our world was being destroyed and we had to find a new planet to live on. They created three new "planets" for us to choose from after a series of missions where a little more of each planet was revealed to us during each mission. In the end, we had to decide which new planet we wanted to inhabit and provide rationale as well as a presentation for where we chose. I could certainly use the theme of the world coming to an end to generate a lot of discussion about the problems we see with the world today and the things we could do about it. I could also use this project to show Geography and what resources and land forms are necessary when it comes to the creation and continuation of civilization.
