The webinar about coding was so meaningful for me, as an international student I had had just few to non experience on coding. so the very same day that Dr. Cullen started introducing coding in class, where I had my first approach with Swift Playgrouds, I participated in this webinar that gave me a better idea about using coding for students. I learned how coding is a fundamental nowadays just like reading, but I also realized that feo kids have the opportunity to learn this technology as it is not taught in many schools. For me, as international student, learning to code is like learning a foreign language, so the earlier students are exposed to coding the quicker they learn how to use it. And that’s why I would use coding for my future teachIng as it allow students to create projects that do really amazing things with, it can build children’s confidence and it will support children’s learning in other areas like reading.
