Bell Ringer: What is email etiquette?

Direct Instruction: Establishing Guidelines for Email Etiquette
-Video and Article (attached)

Guided Instruction: Bad Examples
-Show students a few examples of bad emails and have them identify what is wrong with the email. Discuss.

Small Group Instruction: Email Corrections
-Provide students with additional examples of bad emails. Have students work with a partner/small group to make corrections to email

Independent Practice: Write an Email
-Students will independently craft and send an email to their teacher based on one of the following topics:
  1. Email your teacher with a problem or concern about your grades
  2. Email your teacher requesting an extension or a revision on an assignment
  3. Email your teacher verifying that they received an assignment you submitted
  4. Email your teacher with a request for help with an assignment
