SAMR Model

SAMR is designed to infuse technology into classroom lessons.  Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition are the four areas.  Within those areas, there is Enhancement focusing on Substitution and Augmentation and Transformation focusing on Modification and Redefinition.  When teaching sometimes it make sense to just substitute, for example, taking a paper/pencil to a Google Slide journal.  Sometimes the lesson you are teaching needs completing redefined.  Instead of writing a research paper, you are creating a video game, that uses speech bubbles to tell the facts, and you share your video game with the world.
