The SAMR Model is similar to Blooms Taxonomy, geared towards educators. The SAMR model has 4 levels. The first level is Substitution. The second is Augmentation. Both of these levels fall under Enhancement, which means it’s more efficient, but unlikely to make a difference in future outcomes. Most learning takes place in Modification and Redefinition. Both of these levels fall under Transformation. Maximizing student success is the ultimate outcome.
