I already offer my students choice projects, where they can choose the digital platform that they think would be the best way for them to demonstrate and share their learning. Each time, I include options for them to do things outside of just Microsoft Word. They are able to choose Power Point, Book Creator, creating a video, creating brochures, taping a podcast, etc. This helps them get familiar with new programs, and it also allows them to demonstrate learning in a way that is aligned with their learning style. I liked the idea shared in this article about having students use Power Point to create a digital scrapbook. Most people do not think to use it in this way, and I think this will be a great addition to my project options. I also do my best to encourage other teachers to use the choice options, and to try to add one new project option each time.
