Cybersecurity is something we can be teaching students every time we use technology (and even when we are not). It is so important for kids to understand the information available on the internet and how to keep their information safe and private. It is also extremely important for kids to understand why. I think kids, as well as adults, have an "it can't/won't happen to me attitude" and that can be problematic. With technology being so prevalent, it is crucial that kids realize that there are risks, and it can happen to them. I used to teach health education and did an entire unit on media literacy. Many of those skills and activities can translate into digital literacy as well.
