Flip can
help my students share their voice by giving all students the opportunity to
post videos about a certain topic. It
will also allow other students to respond to each other's ideas. It is an opportunity for students who are
uncomfortable speaking in front of others to share their ideas in a video.
One idea I have for FLIP in my classroom is Spanish speaking task practice. I could post a topic for the current chapter and ask students to complete it in Spanish. For example: video your favorite outfit, answer the following questions: 1. Describe your clothing including the colors of the items. 2. Use the past tense of ir (to go) to tell us where you went to buy at least one of the items. 3. Use the past tense of gastar (to spend) to say how much you paid for at least one item. BONUS: say why is it one of your favorite outfits or comment in Spanish on someone else's video.
This would allow students to practice speaking which is so important and work on the vocabulary and past tense verbs for this unit.
