In my opinion, the Sight Words app would be extremely helpful in an elementary classroom. Before students can become literate, they are required to be familiar with certain words. The knowledge of these words allows students to read more fluently and with less error. This app is a great alternative to plain old flashcards because it allows students to interact with the sight words. In my classroom, I would like to use this app at a literacy station. At the station, the student will be able to listen to the sight words and will choose the correct word. This will also be helpful because other students will not know whether the student got the word right or wrong. I found this app while looking under education app in the app store. Ideally, it would be helpful if the game could be reversed somehow where the student would be able to say the sight word orally.
