Collaborator

Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems. Educators: (D.)  Demonstrate cultural competency when communicating with students, parents and colleagues and interact with them as co-collaborators in student learning.

This is a great platform for teachers to collaborate with other teachers. The collaboration results in a better practice and experience for both the teacher and students. This online collaboration and engagement with peers is a great way to expose students to digital citizenship and how their learning experienced was improved through an online community. 

Citizen

By realizing student needs, planning a course of action, and raising the funds and awareness, teachers on donorschoose are actively advocating for the success and needs of their students. While not all are for technological materials, they are done on a website and require the use of social media to spread the word. 

Leader: Educators seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning.

I believe that the ISTE Standards for Educators about Leaders is an excellent description of this website. Teachers post an application to gain access to more resources for students in their own classrooms and other people contribute to the fund in support of the students' education. By posting an application, they are actively seeking out opportunities to support student teaching and learning. 

Citizen: 
Educators inspire students to positively contribute to and responsibly participate in the digital world. 
Teachers are reaching out to the world to help bring positivity and more resources into their classrooms and schools.

Learner:
Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.
Teachers are using this to improve student opportunities and the learning environment, as well as exploring new practices.

Citizen: The educator is working on making a better environment for the classroom so students can be digital citizens. 

Designer: The educator is designing projects to better their classroom online so students can have a better classroom and have the resources they need to succeed.
