Designers: “Educators design authentic, learner-driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability”
- We discussed how literacy should be used to tie in other subject areas such as English, reading, math, history, etc... rather than solely focus on reading. The tasks we create for our students should be hands-on and engaging above all else; otherwise, they won’t be paying attention or learning
Learners: “Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.”
- the teachers that come to this are obviously there to learn and become better educators. I learned of quite a few useful resources that I’ll be able to use in my future classroom!
