1. Learner: Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.

4. Collaborator: Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems.

By participating in this webinar, educators are working towards becoming not only a better ally for students, but also a better teacher. There was a long list of resources that is accessible for anyone to read in order to better understand on how to be an ally. I liked that they also had a discussion open throughout the webinar that was open for questions to be asked as well as answers to questions asked to the attendees. It was more of a conversation with everyone involved rather than here are facts and why they are important. They also set a goal for everyone themselves to self-reflect on their current practices, what they can do better, and become an ally for social justice. In addition, they also discussed as a strategy to not be the gatekeeper of all knowledge, but rather have a collaborative classroom where the students also hold power and are able to create an environment in which they want to learn.
