Learning these apps was much more difficult than I thought it would be. I thought that it would be easier because I feel that I am adept enough at technology. However, I found that I have little knowledge about the full capabilities of these apps. I learned a lot. Not only did I learn new ways to utilize these apps, but I also realized new ways that I can apply these apps in education. These quizzes have helped me see the value of technology and technology training for teachers.
My favorite application was numbers. As a physics/science teacher, I am excited to enter data into tables and manipulate math in fun ways. At the very least, Numbers will be an awesome application to use for labs. I can see myself displaying data that we as a class collected both collectively and individually. Obviously, I cannot do all of this alone, so letting my students organize this data in numbers will be great practice for them. I can also use it to display grades and data pertaining to student learning. I am also excited to allow my students to use keynote and pages to illustrate concepts.
