I hope to use these skills in my future classroom by not only using them to create engaging content, but also share them with my students. I am a huge proponent for creative liberty when it comes to projects and assessments and Apple offers some great ways for students to employ creativity while using the iPads. My ISTE standard of choice was "Designer" because it addresses these very same desires. Allowing students to take creative liberties in assessments is a great way to "teach to the edges" and account for learners' differences in the classroom. It is important to me that students are able to show me what they know in the most effective way possible. In my future classroom, I'd love to include iMovie and Keynote options, along with the traditional Pages and Numbers, to students in order for them to demonstrate their learning.
