The apps and tools provided through the iPad can be very beneficial for my future classroom. As technology becomes more prominent, it is important to teach my students technological skills to help them. These apps also help bring a creative aspect to education. As an English teacher, I can help teach writing or comprehension skills by allowing my students to portray what they learned. I can have students make book trailers of the class book, or I can have students draw pivotal moments in a story. I can allow them to create their own graphic organizers to help organize their thoughts and idea. These apps are used to foster creativity and with this creative aspect, comes a deeper understanding of the curriculum. Students can make movies or music. They can create graphs and data to organize their thoughts. Students will become more engaged, and they will be brought out of their comfort zones. My ISTE choice was Designer. These tools can be used to create a curriculum that will fully engage my students while leading them to think critically.
