I am very glad to now be an Apple Certified Teacher in some of the most common apps on the iPad. Even if my students do not have iPads at their disposal, I will be able to create more engaging lesson plans with my new knowledge on my own iPad. I think having this certification directly relates to ISTE standard 2: Leader. Having this knowledge going into the classroom will only be beneficial to me, my students, and my school. As a future high school math teacher, I am especially glad to be more familiar with the numbers app. I think this will allow me to be more creative and hands on in my future classroom. It will also be easier for my students to use numbers because I will be able to demonstrate the activities and be familiar with common problems with may run into. Having this certification is not only a great resume boost, but provides me with knowledge that will help to make my future classroom and students more technologically aware.
