This workshop showed us how to effectively use screen recording to create videos and tutorials that appeal to viewers.  This tool is great for creating short tutorials for students when introducing a new app, software, game, or use for their technology.  This can be a great way for students to follow along and reference if they have questions.  The key aspects of good screen recording involve creating a script or outline so you are clear and concise in your instructions, having a pre-determined selection of resources you decide to use in the video, and keep it short.  Do not create a tutorial that mimicks the video shown in class as the “what not to do” insta-girl.

This would be very handy for showing students how to use keynote animation (from the previous workshop) and use it in iMovie or other video editing softwares.
