I learned about Adobe Spark.

Mr. Kalinski instructed a webinar on Adobe Spark apps. The webinar was very informative. I learned Adobe Spark has several apps that both teachers and students can use in the classroom. Pages is a great app to do presentations. The app has features to upload photos and images from your camera roll or us images from the app gallery. The best feature to me is the ability to add links out to websites, articles or assignments. The app is synced with Google Classroom for added convenience.  Adobe Spark Post is an app to create fliers, posters, and graphics. It’s features has several designs in multiple galleries and with multiple color options and font styles.  Adobe video is another app that has several features to be creative. We did not go into detail but we were able to see parts of the app.

Summary

I learned about how to make a podcast for your classroom. This was very beneficial and I could totally use it in an early childhood classroom. We learned how it can be used for the parents as opposed to doing a newsletter sent home they could just listen to the podcast. We also learned that it could be done by the students as a learning tool too.

What I did

I went and helped KDP in the innovation hub make signs. First thing first........They had no clue what to do at all!!!!!! Then I waked Cassidy through how Adobe Illustrator, I don't think she understood any of it. Her plan was just cut out the signs and then paint them. She wasn't going to have it burn their names or anything. Then about 8 others showed up . I walked everyone through everything again so everyone could learn how to do it.  One of Mr. K students, Max, came so I made sure that he new how to add his name to his for his innovation badge.  We cut 7 out on one board. The Invitation hub said that the file Cassidy had would end up cutting out about the size of piece of paper. Well it didn't, but once everyone saw my name burned into they wanted one two. I tried to just show them how to do it and then let them do it. It didn't work, they said that it was to hard or they didn't want to do it. So I ended up cutting almost everything......but it was a lot of fun! If I was to do this kinda thing again I would defiantly make sure I also had written out instructions two

Summary

This was the adobe spark post online webinar. I learned how to navigate the app and use the templates to help create something shareable that can be used for various occasions. In this particular case we made our own thanksgiving recipes. I found many other possible uses for the app as well, which I will mention in the reflection.

Summary

In this workshop I learned about adobe spark page. I was actually the only person in this workshop with Mr. Kalinski so that was fun! he gave me and overview of what this app is and all of its features. We talked about the fact that this would be a great app to make presentations with. I love the way it lets you imbed links, they look like buttons! You can also add photo, text, and videos. I really love the way spark page looks, everything is very organized and streamlined. Also when you are done it creates a link you can share with anyone that goes directly to your page! This makes sharing super easy.

iMovie

This was an in-person professional development led by Mr. Kalinski. I learned a lot about the different aspects of the iMovie app. One of the things that I took away was changing the volume of the music/audio so that it can sound better or be louder. This was good because I learned how to make videos have multiple audio files at the same time.

Podcast

Mr. Kalinski talked us through how to use the app Anchor. We started with ideas of ways that you could incorporate the app in our classrooms, and ways he has seen it done. Then, we went through step by step procedures of how you start your own, how you record, and what to do when you are done recording. He also gave us neat tips along the way about microphones. At the end we were asked to reflect on how we could incorporate a podcast into our on classrooms in the future. We were asked to make a Flipgrid video to reflect on the app and the idea of using podcasts in our classrooms.

Adobe Spark Apps

In this webinar, we learned about Adobe Spark Post, Adobe Spark Video, and Adobe Spark Page. We saw how easy it is to create a very professional looking infographic/social media post, video, or complete webpage with these apps. I was already familiar with Adobe Spark Video and Post, but I had never used Page before. I learned a lot about creating a webpage and embedding different media into it. It was really fun and very useful!

Summary

Keynote has so many different aspects that even though we have gone over many of them, I feel we have still hardly scratched the surface. In this particular workshop we went over how to insert a picture, outline it, make it animated by line drawing it, and then how to export it to ChatterPix and back into keynote. I can use this app to make all sorts of videos for the children like tutorials, lessons, and examples. They can create presentations, fun ways to display their knowledge, and instead of worksheets, where I can upload their work to SeeSaw since it would all be digital.

Turkey Tech Seminar #2- Adobe Spark Post

I participated in an online webinar using the BlueJeans app and we learned how to use Adobe Spark Post to make recipe cards. There re lots of templates available and they are very easy to customize. I used my favorite pancake recipe that I have written in my kitchen. This was very easy to use and I can see myself using this in the future, both in and out if the classroom
